Blue Coyote rests along side the Salmo river and has it's own private beaches and trail system for your enjoyment. You may choose to exercise your horse, cross country ski, enjoy wildlife photography or snowshoe on the well maintained trails. You may see whitetail and mule deer, wild turkey, black bear or even a beaver or moose. In winter and early spring coyote sightings are frequent.
The Village of Salmo, the Hub of the Kootenays, offers full amenities, trails, cross country skiing, smowmobile trails, fine & casual dining, fishing, 18 hole golf course, fine art, recreation centre and an abundance of outdoor activities. Salmo Ski Hill is rated "best in the Kootenays" for it's night skiing and boarding. The Salmo-Creston Pass offers glorious mountain vistas and is home to a herd of big horn Rocky Mountain Sheep and endangered Mountain Caribou. Salmo is part of the famous Selkirk Loop.
